Scope
Journal of Caucasian Studies (JOCAS) is a bi-annual peer-reviewed academic journal published in Istanbul, Turkey, in March and September. Manuscripts in English, Turkish and Russian on such social science and humanities subjects as history, geography, ethnology, anthropology, linguistics, politics and international relations as well as book reviews as related to the peoples of the Caucasus are considered for publication.Both in the western and Turkish academia, as a subject of academic research the Caucasus is generally placed in the category of Russian Studies or considered as a hyphenated area study along with Central Asia as the Caucasus-Central Asian Studies.
